IDEM-APDSA Student Leader Programme 2014


The 8th edition of IDEM Singapore sees the return of the IDEM-APDSA Student Leader Programme , where a selected batch of students gain unique access to one of the most prominent dental exhibition and conference in Asia.  Participants in the Programme can look forward to meeting and working with selected regional dental students, who are active in their local dental communities and learning from internationally renowned speakers through sessions organized exclusively for Student Leaders as well as through the attendance of IDEM Singapore’s main scientific conference. Seize the opportunity to peek behind the curtains of a world class conference and leading trade fair in the Asia Pacific Region!

On top of the perks mentioned above, selected students also receive:

  • Complimentary accommodation during conference days
  •  Return airfare reimbursement of
    • Up to 500 SGD for flights of 3 hours and less
    • Up to 1 000 SGD for flights above 3 hours
    •  One free pass to the main scientific conference and exhibition
    • Access to IDEM networking events including the New Dentist Forum, a round table session tailored to final year dental students and new dentists discussing topics like the road from university to work


How it works…

2 dentistry students per APDSA member country will be selected by a jury based on the following criteria:

ü   Experience in volunteering activities (Dentistry students body, community groups, etc.)

ü  Leadership skills in the activities they have participated in or through positions held in their societies

ü  Good command of English

ü  Year of Studies (final two years preferable)

Student Leaders are required to contribute 4 working hours onsite  at IDEM Singapore on each conference day, assist groups of participants from their home country and participate and assist in events arranged for the Student Leaders.
